A Free Autumn Project

The Book Spine Pumpkin

Turn a plain pumpkin into a little library for autumn, with our free printable book spines.

A round pumpkin covered in vintage book spines titled Autumn Days, The Harvest Garden, Field Notes and Country Living, tied with twine and autumn leaves

Every old book holds a story. This little project dresses a pumpkin in a row of vintage book spines — autumn titles, gilded leaves, faded cloth bindings — so it looks as though it was gathered from a country library. No carving, no special tools: just paper, glue, and a quiet afternoon.

What’s in the free printable

  • A step-by-step instruction sheet to keep beside you as you work
  • Shorter spines — 28 titled spines, from Autumn Days to The Good Earth, for small and medium pumpkins

How it works

  1. Print & cut

Print the spine sheets on plain paper and cut out the strips.

  2. Glue them on

Smooth each strip onto a real or faux pumpkin with craft glue or decoupage medium.

  3. Finish it

Tie twine around the stem and tuck in a few leaves and berries.
