The Vestige Post, LLC (“we,” “us”) operates the Vestige Pin Planner (“the app”), a scheduling tool that publishes Pins to Pinterest on dates we choose in advance. The app is used only by The Vestige Post to manage its own Pinterest account. It is not offered to the public. This page explains what information the app uses and how it is handled. Our main privacy policy covers the rest of thevestigepost.com.
What the app accesses
When a Pinterest account is connected to the app through Pinterest’s own sign-in and permission screen, the app receives only what that screen allows:
- Basic account information— the account’s username and profile details, so the app can show which account is connected.
- Boards— the list of boards on the account, so each Pin can be assigned to the right board.
- Pins— permission to create Pins on the account’s boards, and to read the Pins the app has created, so it can confirm they were published.
The app never sees or stores a Pinterest password. Pinterest gives it an access token instead, which it uses to act on the connected account.
What the app stores
- Pin drafts— the images, titles, descriptions, links, alt text, board choices and publish dates we enter for Pins we plan to publish.
- Access tokens— the tokens Pinterest issues when the account is connected. They are stored encrypted and used only to publish scheduled Pins and read the connected account’s boards.
How it is used
Only to schedule and publish The Vestige Post’s own Pins. We do not sell Pinterest data, use it for advertising, combine it with other data about people, or use it to follow, message or collect information about other Pinterest users.
Who we share it with
No one, except the services that run the app: Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database and image storage). Each processes data only on our behalf and under its own privacy policy. Published Pins are, of course, sent to Pinterest.
How long we keep it
Pin drafts are kept until we delete them. Access tokens are kept only while the account is connected. If the app’s access is removed, its tokens are deleted and the app can no longer act on the account.
Disconnecting and deletion
Access can be removed at any time from Pinterest’s settings, in the list of apps connected to the account. To ask us to delete any data the app holds, email thevestigepost@gmail.com and we will delete it within 30 days.
Changes
If the app starts using data in a new way, we will update this page and the date at the top before it does.
