Long before satellite navigation and glowing screens, sailors searched the horizon for a different kind of guidance. A single light standing against the darkness could mean safety, direction, and the promise of home.

Lighthouses were practical structures, but they were also symbols of reassurance. Through storms, fog, and long nights, the keeper's responsibility remained the same: tend the light and keep it burning.

The quiet world surrounding a lighthouse has always fascinated me. Beyond the tower itself were the records of daily life—weather logs, harbor notices, signal codes, maintenance records, maps, correspondence, and observations carefully written down by hand. Together, these ordinary documents tell the story of a place dedicated to helping others find their way.

That spirit became the inspiration for The Light Remains, Archive Collection No. 002 from The Vestige Post.

This collection gathers together papers and ephemera inspired by coastal stations and lighthouse keepers of another era. Inside you'll find lighthouse logs, harbor records, signal notices, specimen cards, maps, stationery, tags, mini envelopes, fussy cuts, and vintage-inspired background papers. Each piece was designed to feel as though it might have been discovered in a weathered desk drawer overlooking the sea.
