Fields of Provence began as an exploration of color—particularly the way lavender transforms an ordinary field into something almost luminous. As the piece developed, it became less about place and more about feeling: stillness, openness, and gentle wonder.
Soft layers of violet and muted green build depth while subtle tonal shifts suggest changing light across the field. The composition balances structure and softness, creating a sense of calm and spaciousness.
It speaks to the quiet moments that ask nothing of us except presence—the rare spaces where we can simply pause, observe, and breathe.
